And Things We Don’t…

New Construction & Additions

We’re about as small an operation as you can get, and we aim to keep it that way. This means staying away from the siren song of new construction. These larger projects offer the prospect of higher profit, but often come with bigger headaches. At Clutch, we prefer to do quality work on smaller, more affordable projects; building a larger client base to spread the word about us.

Stand Alone Plumbing Projects

Some folks say plumbing is easy, all you need to know is “water runs downhill, and payday is Friday”. Running new supplies and drains may be that simple, but we’ve found a couple other constants about plumbing repair:

  • It’s usually dark

  • It’s never ergonomic

  • Half the time it stinks

  • Even if you do it right, you’re probably still getting wet

As such, we try to avoid stand alone plumbing projects. If some plumbing is involved with a larger job that’s one thing, but if you just need a drain cleaned or faucet replaced, Clay’s probably not your guy.

Commercial & Rental Properties

We stick to owner-occupied residential properties and leave the commercial and rental repair work to the property management industry. We concentrate on projects where the client gets to both enjoy the quality of life improvement and the equity boost. Also, Clay manages his own calendar and coordinating both landlord and renter’s schedules uses up too much precious office time... he belongs in the field!

If you’ve got a project you think we could help with, let us know!
